This presentation will give an overview on the ABCD study (https://abcdstudy.org/), a notably large longitudinal study of adolescence. I will describe the task battery detailing the rich characterization provided on each participant (including cognition, mental health, family, environment, genetics, brain imaging, geo-coded locations and their links to external datasets). The sample was recruited at ages 9 and 10 and we will follow the participants for ten years – currently, we are in Year 6 of data collection. The study embraces an open-science model in which quality-controlled and curated data are made available in annual releases to the scientific community. I will describe some initial findings from the ~1000 or so papers already published using this dataset and will discuss the possibility of collaborations with this dataset.
