Do you want to go beyond the standard university experience and unlock your full potential? The Scuola IMT Alti Studi Lucca is opening up applications for the Honors Program, a course designed for talented students enrolled in the first year of a Master’s degree or the penultimate year of a single-cycle course, in Italy or abroad.
The funded program has a duration of 9 months (September 2025 - June 2026) and provides participating students with a high-level academic experience, with the opportunity to engage with the world of research in an international and dynamic environment. A maximum of 16 selected students may take part in the program. Students will receive a €10,000 scholarship, along with free accommodation and meals during their stay in Lucca, as well as reimbursement of travel expenses.
Two intensive modules in Lucca (January 18-31, 2026 and May 17-30, 2026) for a total of at least 80 hours, dedicated to multidisciplinary topics and the development of skills useful for research.
Online activities and personalised tutoring: you will work on your own individual research project, with the support of a dedicated mentor and scientific tutor, for a total of 120 hours.
The program is offered in English and involves a mix of on-site and remote activities. Upon completion of your Master’s degree, you will receive the “IMT Honors” certificate during the closing ceremony in July 2027.
You can apply if, at the end of the call:
- You are enrolled in the first year of a master’s degree or in the penultimate year of a single-cycle course and do not already have a master’s degree;
- You have already obtained at least 75% of the expected ECTS for the current year (and 100% for earlier ones, if applicable), with a weighted average of at least 27/30 (30 cum laude is 31);
- If you already have a Bachelor’s degree, you have obtained at least 108/110 as a graduation grade and a weighted average of at least 27/30;
