The promotion of research results is one of the institutional goals of the IMT School for Advanced Studies Lucca.
The IMT School, through its Research, Projects and Technology Transfer Office, offers a new service for the development of research and laboratories activities such as Intellectual Property, licensing activities and the creation of spin-offs.
The IMT School is a member of NetVal, the Network for the valorisation of the university research.
The IMT School for Advanced Studies Lucca, the Scuola Normale Superiore and the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna have formed JoTTO, a Joint Technology Transfer Office for enhancing the value of research results, facilitating new partnerships between researchers and companies.
To foster the match between research and private companies, JoTTO organizes JoTTO Fair – Research meets industries, the meeting event between the research activities of the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna, Scuola Normale Superiore, the Scuola IMT Alti Studi Lucca, IUSS Pavia and the business world.
JoTTO Fair is an event to share the results of university research more oriented towards the industrial world and businesses. The results of the research are presented and it is be possible to meet and discuss with researchers on the central themes of the new industrial revolution, from ICT to automation, from photonics to biorobotics, but also nanomaterials, medical devices, biotechnologies and agricultural biotechnologies, social and human science and Artificial intelligence.
