A framework for evolutionary game theory in the social sciences

People are not always rational or farsighted and often make decisions according to simple behavioral rules that can be studied using the tools of evolutionary game theory. We give a framework for analyzing behaviour in this way and discuss some open research topics of importance to economics and the broader social sciences.
