Shaimaa has 11 years of accumulative experience, especially in museum management, culture for development, and creative entrepreneurship. She has worked with various organizations as a researcher and program manager; among them, UNESCO Regional Office for Egypt, Sudan, and Libya, The British Museum in London, Mahatat for Contemporary Art in Cairo, and Action for Hope in Lebanon.
Shaimaa is currently a Ph.D. student at Scuola IMT Alti Studi Lucca in Analysis and Management of Cultural Heritage (AMCH). She had her master’s degree in Cultural Heritage Management (CHM) in 2014 from Sorbonne, Paris 1, and she published her thesis on the architectural preservation of the vernacular heritage of Siwa Oasis in Egypt. Also, she had a specialized Diploma in Research Methods and Skills from the Maastricht School of Management in the Netherlands in 2015.
