Profile
The research is part of the "Unified project for the dissemination of the Office for the Process and the implementation of innovative operational models in judicial offices for the elimination of the backlog of cases (UPPTF)", relating to Macro Area 3 ("For a fair justice: innovation and efficiency in judicial offices - AGILE JUSTICE"), which concerns the Rome, Florence and Perugia Appeal Courts. The research will focus on the implementation of actions to improve the performance of judicial offices with a view to increasing their efficiency, the implementation and strengthening of the Offices for the Process (UPP).
Activity
In particular, the activities required of the scholarship holder concern:
- the study of the functioning of the UPPs already in operation and understanding the needs of the judicial offices;
- the definition of operational modules for the best functioning of the UPPs;
- the identification of models for the management of incoming flows and for the aggression of the backlog;
- the development of a system for the cataloguing and maximisation of judgments;
- the participation in specific and general training activities for PPO staff;
- the development of ideas for rethinking university training provision, with a view to gearing it to the project's objectives, and participating in related training activities;  
The research will take place at the Scuola IMT Alti Studi di Lucca mainly, but not exclusively, at the Courts of Lucca, Pisa and Livorno.
In addition, the research includes the performance of coordination activities, the drafting of summary reports, as well as the organisation of and participation in coordination workshops between Macro Areas.

Formal requirements
  • MSc degree in Law;
  • Knowledge of written and spoken English.
Specific requirements
  • Knowledge of the general principles of administrative action;
  • Knowledge of the main profiles of the digitalisation of the public administration and of its activities;
  • Knowledge of the main organisational profiles of ordinary justice in the Italian legal system.
