The IMT School invites applications for a grant for a young researcher in the field of Internet of Things (IoT) device security.
Specifically, the SySMA research group is interested in studying the cybersecurity aspects of specific attacks on the limited resources of IoT devices. The ideal candidate should have good experience in securing these devices and good programming skills. Finally, he or she should be familiar with some measurement methods that can be applied to use cases of interest to carry out test scenarios.

Activity
The candidate will be responsible for studying a new method for monitoring and detecting resource-constrained attacks in Internet of Things (IoT) and Internet of Everything (IoE) smart devices. He/she will be responsible for creating testbeds for evaluating such attacks and proposing a measurement campaign to understand the behavior of real devices before and after attacks.
The candidate will be expected to propose lightweight detection and mitigation techniques against attacks on the power and memory of the devices under consideration. Finally, he/she should evaluate the possibility of improving the previous proposal with machine-learning techniques, always respecting the limited resources of IoT devices.

Formal requirements
- master of Science degree;
- excellent knowledge of computer programming and IoT device security;
- a good knowledge of written and spoken english.
