Activity

 

The appointed candidate will participate in the activities of the Sleep, Plasticity, and Conscious Experience research group, within the MoMiLab Research Unit, the Cognitive Neuroscience community of the IMT School for Advanced Studies Lucca. In particular, they will: i) plan, program, and test experimental paradigms for open- and closed-loop sensory stimulation during wakefulness and sleep; ii) analyze behavioral and electrophysiological data, including high-density EEG (256 electrodes), EMG, and EOG recordings; iii) contribute to the scientific supervision of PhD students during the development of their research project.

Formal requirements

 

  • PhD in Neuroscience or related fields (preferably obtained in the last five years);
  • Good track record including research experience and outcomes related to the collection, processing, and analysis of electrophysiological data;
  • Solid programming and statistics skills;
  • Excellent knowledge of both written and spoken English.

 

Specific requirements

 

  • Experience with advanced analysis methods for M/EEG data, including time-frequency analysis and source modeling;
  • Experience with open science practices;
  • Ability to work in a team.
