IMT School invites applications for a research position (preferably postdoctoral) in International Economics. The ideal candidate has a strong background in economics and statistics with the ability to work with complex microdata. Previous research experience and publications in international economics are a plus.
The researcher will investigate whether and how foreign direct investment (FDI) and multinational enterprises (MNE) contribute to the global diffusion of knowledge, technology and know-how across national borders with a focus on the European Union and the Green Deal. The researcher will work together in an international team with colleagues from the IMT School for Advanced Studies Lucca and from the Vienna Institute for International Economic Studies (WiiW). The candidate will contribute to data collection, analysis, drafting and publication in international peer-reviewed journals. She/he will be required to work in Vienna in a second stage of the research activity.
- Master’s degree in Economics or Statistics or related fields;
- Excellent knowledge of English, both spoken and written.
- The doctor of phylosophy (PhD) in Economics, Statistics or related fields will be considered as a preferential title
