For my research project, I'm performing a series of lab
experiments designed to explore the agents' information searching
and learning processes in the context of an oligopolistic market,
where agents compete à la Cournot.
The experiment is aimed at developing both positive and normative
theoretical results. On the one hand, I am interested in how
individuals behave in the repeated game, when they are not able to
use all the information concerning the payoff structure or the
history of the game, because of budget, time, or cognitive
constraints; on the other hand I would like to derive from the
experimental results some policy indications in terms of optimal
information disclosure.
