Profile

The selected candidate will contribute to research and activity in the areas outlined in this call for applications. Specifically, the background and skills of interest are the following (though not limited to these):- the restitution of cultural heritage in Europe (mainly Italy, Austria, and Germany) post World War II and up to recent years;- European Cultural History, with particular reference to the history of consumption during the Twenty Years of Fascism and the period of the Third Reich;- History of Memory in Contemporary Europe (with particular reference to the history of fascism and nazism).

Activity

The selected candidate will collaborate with the faculty members, researchers, and students of the IMT School and, in particular, of the LYNX Research Unit on the topics indicated in this call, mainly but not limited to the following: the organization and implementation of research seminars; the development of research projects (including the implementation of possible Seasonal Schools); and the presentation of viable joint project proposals.

Formal requirements

Ph.D. degree or equivalent in research areas related to the profile of this call obtained in Italy or abroad;
Scientific curriculum suitable for carrying out the research activity;
Experience in university teaching and supervising students, in Italy or abroad;
Documented training and research activities at qualified Italian or foreign institutions;
Experience in organizing, directing, and coordinating national and international research groups or participation in those;
Implementation of project activities;
Speaker at national and international congresses and conferences;
Excellent record of national and international scientific publications on the topics covered by this Call;
Excellent knowledge of both written and spoken English.
