Paolo Scotton (1989). I am a PhD Candidate in Political History. In July 2013 I obtained my Master Degree (110/110 cum laude) in Philosophy from the University of Padova with a thesis on the pedagogical concerns of the Spanish philosopher Ortega y Gasset.
In 2014 I also obtained the Diploma in Humanities at the Galileian School of Higher Education, in Padova (100/100 cum laude).
Research Interest
My research interests focus mainly on the History of European political concepts and on the Iberian and Latin America political philosophy of the XIX and XX centuries, in particular in Spain. I focus in particular on the relation between political theory and education, on the processes leading to the creation of intellectuals and political communities. Moreover, my research focuses on the development of practices and theories of education in Spain and Latin America during the XX century.
