I am an art historian specialised in Early Modern Art History, with experience in coordination and communication of cultural programs within international organisations. After my PhD I have been focusing on heritage management, policies, projects and communication; I have been working at UNESCO World Heritage Center in Paris and at the European Commission in Brussels.
I obtained my Phd in Management and Development of Cultural Heritage in 2015, under the supervision of Linda Bertelli (IMT Lucca) and Riccardo Venturi (INHA, Paris). My thesis, titled L'art de la rêverie. Female Daydreams in Nineteenth-Century Painting, aimed at analysing forms and meanings of daydream representations in the visual arts as an iconographic category, investigating also their sociological and psychological implications.
During my research period in Paris I have been affiliated with EHESS and Centre Alexandre-Koyré and worked under the supervision of prof. Jacqueline Carroy. In Paris I have also been vice-president, cultural activities coordinator and external representative of Fondation Hellénique, and developed cultural projects, such as Encardia, supported by UNESCO.
Prior to my PhD studied, I graduated in Modern Literature and Art History at the University of Pisa, with the thesis La materia di cui sono fatti i sogni (The Stuff Dreams are Made on), under the supervision of Prof. Vincenzo Farinella. I had my Erasmus period at Freie Universität in Berlin, where I held the seminars Die unvollendeten Reliefs an der Fassade des Doms von Orvieto”; “Das antike Kaiserbild und das Bild Christi”.
My research interests are Art History, Cultural Heritage, Languages and Linguistics, Intangible Heritage, Psychology, Sociology, Neuroscience, Graphics and Design, Advertising.
