Profile

The candidate must have excellent knowledge of the state of the art in the research field of the call. Furthermore he/she has to prove experience in the field of organization and management of public and private cultural institutions, preferably museums. Further knowledge is required on the organization of the Italian cultural heritage protection system and on the valorization of cultural heritage. Previous experience in research projects, critical analysis and a pluralistic attitude towards dialogue will be part of the evaluation.

Activity

The candidate is required to develop research activities within the framework of the project titled “Alla ricerca dell'unità nella diversità: Soluzioni organizzative e nuove offerte culturali per il Sistema Museale Territoriale della Provincia di Lucca”. Research will be focused on analysing the organizational challenges of Sistema museale territoriale della provincia di Lucca (SML) and developing guidelines and solutions to these challenges by applying sound research methods and conducting cultural and critical analysis. Based on the results, new cultural offers will be developed for the territory considering the specific characteristics and cultural resources of all the SML members. Particular attention will be dedicated to the development of an inclusive decision-making process that guarantees the involvement of all stakeholders, such as all the members of the SML, local inhabitants, local public representatives and Regione Toscana. Furthermore, the candidate will be able to participate in the IMT Research Unit LYNX research and cultural activities, in particular projects regarding analysis and management of cultural heritage.

Formal requirements

A Master's Degree in a subject related to this call;
Being younger than 36 years of age at the time of submission.
Excellent knowledge of English, both spoken and written.

Specific requirements

Preferably a PhD in a subject related to this call.
