Activity
The candidate must investigate the integration of social and wireless networks in the management of critical and emergency situations. A service-oriented, modular, flexible architecture should be defined that supports the gathering, storage, manipulation and interaction between wireless and social networks. The architecture should also be equipped with monitoring and control techniques, possibly realized through knowledge-based self-adaptation techniques.
Formal requirements
Possession of a Ph.D. in a related field. Excellent knowledge of English, both written and spoken.
Specific requirements
The candidate must have a strong background on information theory and wireless communication networks and on game theoretical approaches to collaboration and resource allocation, possibly witnessed by some publications in those topics. Experience on software development for mobile devices and skills related to emergency management and social networks will be appreciated.
Project
WiLIFE. The scope of the project is to support the management of emergencies through the integration of wireless sensor networks and social networks in order to monitor, control, gather and disseminate information from and to citizens in pervasive and ubiquitous ways.
Gross amount
€ 19.000,00 a year.
