Economics of innovation, health economics, regional economics
The researcher will conduct his research and teaching activity within the AxES research unit. In particular, the researcher will deal with the development of issues inherent to innovative ecosystems with particular reference to the Tuscan Health Ecosystem (THE). In this context, the comparative analysis of innovation in the health field and digital health, innovative entrepreneurship, technology transfer, health technology assessement, and the establishment of an innovative ecosystem in the health sector are particularly important.
The researcher will carry out scientific and didactic-training activities in the research fields related to the study of the economics of productive sectors and territories. The main fields of investigation are the configurations and dynamics of the markets, economics of innovation, health economics, urban and regional economics. The empirical study with quantitative methods of these research themes and the evaluation of the effectiveness of public policies related to these fields are particularly important.
PhD in a field related to the present call obtained in Italy or abroad. Curriculum with a suitable scientific background for carrying out research activity in the required field.

Selection procedure and criteria

Procedure
A Selection Committee, appointed by the Rector, assesses all applications on the basis online application info. Applicants selected on the basis of the preliminary analysis are interviewed at the Job Market Meetings in which the Institute is planning to participate, if applicable to the specific academic sector. Alternatively, individual interviews may also be conducted at IMT or by conference call. Travel expenses to Lucca for the interview will be reimbursed.
Selection Criteria
The evaluation criteria are based on: Quality of research activity, including publications in peer-reviewed journals and references; Research organization experience and participation in international/national research projects and research periods in public and private institutions (academic and non-academic); Relevance of the candidate's profile for the development of IMT's research activities; Teaching, mentoring and supervision experience; Motivation; Excellent knowledge of English, both written and spoken; As well as any other requirements as specified in the advertisement.
