Cognitive and social neuroscience applied to business and marketing

1 Research Collaborator position
(Deadline June 28th, 2019 12:00 )
Fields

social cognition, cognitive economics, communication, emotional engagement, neuroimaging, electrophysiology

Activity
The candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop original approaches with methodologies of experimental psychology, cognitive and social neuroscience applied to the conjoint research projects designed and conducted within the Innovation Center Lab-Neuroscience activities.
Typical tasks will include measuring participants’ or branch managers' behavior and conducting behavioral, survey and psychophysiological data collection and analyses, contributing to the design of behavioral-change interventions, communicating with stakeholders inside and outside of the business in a dual-research and consulting role, literature searches, and writing scientific papers and reviews.
The research projects will engage the use of psychophysical and brain imaging methodologies (e.g., eye-tracking, EEG/ERP or fMRI), data acquisition and analysis, and other approaches for investigating the factors influencing how each employee performs in the organization, or how consumer responds when presented with products and/or related stimuli. In particular, the comprehension of how information on a specific product/item is conveyed through different sensory modalities or media channels, and influences decision-making processes, represents a current challenge for neuroscientific research. Original approaches in neuroimaging studies applied to social sciences, behavior, decision-making processes should, not simply, characterize the individual (social and personological) profile, behavioral and brain functional processes, but mainly look for potential predictive (bio)markers of individual choices or social outcome.
