Analysis of semantic networks on social media with an entropy-based approach

The ideal candidate should have documented experience in the implementation of codes for the analysis of complex network in Python, a good knowledge of the extraction of semantic networks on Twitter and of the Twitter platform data structure. The knowledge of entropy based null models and their implementation for the analysis of complex networks is required.
  • Analysis of the semantic network of the recent online debate on Twitter about the COVID-19 epidemic;
  • Study of the various communities of subjects and the relative narratives;
  • Detection of the political orientation of the different users and analysis of their interactions with the different communities in the semantic network;
  • Detection of d/misinformation campaigns.

Formal requirements
  • Master's Degree in Statistics, Maths, Physics, Computer Science or related fields; 
  • Excellent knowledge of English, both written and spoken.
