La Scuola IMT invita a presentare domanda per una posizione di Research Collaborator per un giovane dottore di ricerca nel campo della sicurezza dei dispositivi Internet of Things (IoT).
In particolare, il gruppo di ricerca SySMA è interessato a studiare gli aspetti di cybersicurezza per reti IoT basate su AI e più in generale per dispositivi IoT con risorse limitate. Il candidato ideale deve avere una buona esperienza nella sicurezza di questi dispositivi e buone capacità di programmazione. Infine, dovrebbe conoscere alcuni metodi di misurazione che possono essere applicati ai casi d'uso di interesse per realizzare scenari di test.
The IMT School invites applications for a Research Collaborator position for a young PhD student in the field of security of Internet of Things (IoT) devices.
In particular, the SySMA research group is interested in studying cybersecurity aspects for AI-based IoT networks and more generally for IoT devices with limited resources. The ideal candidate should have good experience in the security of these devices and good programming skills. Finally, he/she should be familiar with some measurement methods that can be applied to use cases of interest to implement test scenarios.
Il/La candidato/a sarà responsabile dello studio di attacchi e loro individuazione a dispositivi intelligenti dell'Internet of Things (IoT) ovvero per quei dispositivi IoT che utilizzano inteligenza artificiale (IA) per le loro funzioni. In particolare dovrà svolgere ricerca in autonomia studiando come questi attacchi possono essere realizzati e quale contributo può essere fornito dall'IA nel quale questa tecnologia sia utilizzata anche per attacco o difesa di questo tipo di reti di sensori.
Il/La candidato/a sarà responsabile della creazione di testbed per comprendere il comportamento dei dispositivi IoT prima e dopo gli attacchi utilizzando ogni volta le opportune metriche. Infine, dovrà scrivere articoli di conferenza o per riviste per pubblicare i risultati di questa ricerca.
The candidate will be responsible for studying attacks and their detection on intelligent Internet of Things (IoT) devices, i.e. for those IoT devices that use artificial intelligence (AI) for their functions.
In particular, he/she will have to carry out independent research studying how these attacks can be carried out and what contribution can be made by AI in which this technology is also used to attack or defend this type of sensor network.
The candidate will be responsible for creating testbeds to understand the behaviour of IoT devices before and after attacks using the appropriate metrics each time.
Finally, he/she will have to write conference or journal articles to publish the results of this research.
- PhD in Computer science or similar;
- Good knowledge of both written and spoken English;
Other specific requirements:
Ottime conoscenze di programmazione e sicurezza di dispositivi IoT.
Excellent knowledge of computer programming and IoT device security.
