Carlo Orsi

Born in Milan (1977). Married, with a son.

Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics with honours (2005), Master’s Degree in Biostatistics and Experimental Statistics with honours (2011) and Ph.D. in Statistics (2014) obtained from University of Milan-Bicocca.

Statistical assistant at the Swiss pharmaceutical consulting company “Cross Research” (2003-2006). Statistician at the market research company “Carlo Erminero & Co. Ricerca e Customer Intelligence” in Milan (2006). Statistician at the business consulting company “Safe Well Work - System for People” in Busto Arsizio (2008).

Statistician at the University Centre for Statistics in the Biomedical Sciences of Vita-Salute San Raffaele University in Milan (2007-2009). Member of the Local Organizing Committee of the 3rd International Meeting of IMS (Institute of Mathematical Statistics) and ISBA (International Society for Bayesian Analysis) held in Bormio (2008). Teacher of the professionalizing course in “Statistical potential of Excel” at University of Insubria in Varese (2008). Teaching assistant of several courses in Statistics and Applied Statistics at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University, University of Milan-Bicocca and University of Cagliari (2009-2015). Research assistant of Statistics at the Institute of Applied Mathematics and Information Technology of National Research Council in Milan (2015). At present (from November 2023) Assistant Professor in Statistics at IMT School for Advanced Studies Lucca (RTD a).

Current research interests: non-central probability models on the simplex, applied statistics in tourism, engineering, medicine.
