Applicants should demonstrate excellent research skills both in disciplinary and in interdisciplinary contexts, as well as a significant and coherent record of publications in the fields of Medieval Art History. Experience in the history of artistic techniques, museum cataloguing, cultural heritage management is welcome. The successful candidate should also demonstrate the ability to operate effectively within the School’s multidisciplinary academic environment and to collaborate with institutions and organizations, including those outside academia.
The appointed candidate will be expected to contribute to the development of research initiatives within the Cultural Systems area and the Lynx research unit; to take part in ongoing national and international projects; to contribute to the preparation of new research proposals; to support the research activities of PhD students, including the supervision of PhD theses; to actively participate in the planning and organization of the seminar programme of Lynx research unit; and to engage in the development and implementation of Terza Missione activities. The role also entails close collaboration with faculty members and researchers across the School.
Documented experience in university-level teaching and the supervision of theses is required.
PhD in Art History.
Significant university-level teaching experience, including theses supervision.
Excellent knowledge of English, both written and spoken.
