Andrea Mola

Dr. Andrea Mola received his master in Aerospace Engineering at Politecnico di Milano in 2004, with a thesis carried out at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne within the Chair of Numerical Modelling and Simulation. He holds a PhD in Mathematical Engineering at Politecnico di Milano earned in 2009 and a second PhD in Engineering Mechanics at Virginia Tech earned in 2010. He worked as a post-doc fellow at mathLab, the applied mathematics laboratory of SISSA, the International School for Advanced Studies in Trieste, where he has also been a non tenured assistant professor. More recently, he joined IMT as a tenured assistant professor in Numerical Analysis working at Research Unit MUSAM - Multi-Scale Analysis of Materials. His research mainly focuses on computational fluid dynamics and numerical methods for large scale dynamical problems arising from several branches of engineering and physics.
