Pietro Lenarda received his Master's Degree in Mathematics at the University of Florence in 2013 and the PhD in Computational Mechanics at IMT, School for Advanced Studies, Lucca in 1017. After two years of post-doc at the Italian Institute of Technology, Genoa (2017-2019) at the Laboratory for Computational Nanomedicine he became Assistant Professor at IMT, School for Advanced Studies in 2019 in the Multiscale Analysis of Material MUSAM research unit.

Dr. Andrea Mola received his master in Aerospace Engineering at Politecnico di Milano in 2004, with a thesis carried out at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne within the Chair of Numerical Modelling and Simulation. He holds a PhD in Mathematical Engineering at Politecnico di Milano earned in 2009 and a second PhD in Engineering Mechanics at Virginia Tech earned in 2010. He worked as a post-doc fellow at mathLab, the applied mathematics laboratory of SISSA, the International School for Advanced Studies in Trieste, where he has also been a non tenured assistant professor.

Marco Paggi received his Master's Degree in Civil Engineering in 2001 (110/110 with honors, average mark 29.2/30, 23 exams over 30 with full marks, 13 with honors) and his Ph.D. in Structural Engineering in 2005 from Politecnico di Torino, Italy (PhD position with MIUR scholarship). After a Post-Doctoral Fellowship (2005-2007), he became Assistant Professor of Structural Mechanics in the same University (2007-2013).

Maria Rosaria Marulli completed her Master’s degree in Civil Engineering in 2017 at Università del Salento in Lecce, Italy.

In May 2021, she obtained her Ph.D. in “Computer Science and Systems Engineering” at IMT School for Advanced Studies Lucca, Italy, discussing the thesis “New methods to assess the performance of structural joints with microstructures.”
