PHD RESEARCH
Kathleen is a digital humanities specialist and freelance archivist. As a PhD Candidate in the field of Management and Development of Cultural Heritage since November 2014, she is conducting research on the challenges that climate change poses to Italian archives and libraries, focused specifically on flooding vulnerabilities of the built historic environment in Tuscany, Liguria and Veneto. Kathleen is investigating opportunities for cultural heritage professionals, civil protection units and climate change scientists to collaborate and apply environmental data for disaster preparedness and recovery.
