The LIGEM.REDES Project and Its Potential for Interdisciplinary Research on Geointelligence, Spatial Behavior, High-Performance Computing, and Impact Evaluation

On Friday February 27 at 10:00, Scuola IMT will host a seminar dedicated to the LIGEM.REDES project, a recently established research center affiliated with the Brazilian Ministry of Defense. The event will take place in Classroom 2.

The seminar will be delivered by José Raimundo Carvalho, Professor of Econometrics at the Universidade Federal do Ceará (UFC) and Director of both the Colégio de Estudos Avançados (CEA/UFC) and LIGEM.REDES. The talk will explore the project’s interdisciplinary approach, which integrates geointelligence, spatial behavior analysis, high-performance computing, artificial intelligence, and socioeconomic impact evaluation, with a focus on applications in the Amazon region.

The seminar will also highlight opportunities for future research collaborations between IMT and LIGEM.REDES, building on the existing Memorandum of Understanding signed between IMT and the Universidade Federal do Ceará.
