Open LLM for the Behavioral Sciences

From August 29 to 31, 2025, IMT School will host a Summer School on "Open LLM for the Behavioral Sciences."
The course introduces the use of open large language models (LLMs) from the Hugging Face ecosystem for research in the behavioral and social sciences.

Through short lectures, participants will learn about key concepts such as the attention mechanism, feature extraction, and text generation, along with practical examples from behavioral science.
The course will be led by Prof. Wulff, with support from Dr. Hussain, both affiliated with the Max Planck Institute for Human Development, Berlin, and the University of Basel.
