Brain Hack Lucca 2025 - Open and collaborative advances in neuroscience
We are pleased to inform you that the 3rd edition of BrainHack Lucca will take place from December 2nd to 5th, 2025 at IMT School for Advanced Studies!
Brainhack Lucca is a collaborative workshop that brings together researchers from various disciplines to collaborate on innovative projects in neuroscience, and is a part of an extended network of local events held across the globe. Each site tailors its schedule to local interests and expertise. Unlike traditional academic conferences, Brainhack events embrace a hackathon-style format that encourages hands-on participation, spontaneous idea-sharing, and rapid prototyping of tools, analytical pipelines, or educational content related to brain science. The term "hacking" in this context refers to intense collaboration and rapid prototyping of an idea within a short timeframe. It does not necessarily involve coding, and participants can contribute meaningfully without any programming experience.
The event includes a first day (Dec 2) of discussions and presentations on neuroscience-related topics, followed by three days (Dec 3-4-5) of hands-on work (hackathon) on practical projects.
You can participate as a regular participant, or as a project leader, that will propose a project and lead a small group of participants during the event. To submit a project, you must first register for the event and then follow the link to describe its content via a GitHub issue.
Participation is free.
Registration is mandatory: please fill out the registration form by November 25th, 2025.
