The IMT School confirms its status as a centre of academic excellence and once again hosts the advanced training activities of the International Graduate School on Control, organised by the European Embedded Control Institute (EECI).

The multi-day workshop, entitled "Model Predictive Control: From Theory to Applications Through Numerical Methods", is dedicated to Model Predictive Control (MPC), an optimisation-based control approach that allows complex non-linear systems to be controlled while optimising a given performance criterion and imposing constraints on both the states and control inputs of the system.

The lectures, running from 2 to 6 February, are given by professors Mario Zanon of the IMT School and Paolo Falcone of Chalmers University.
