Vincenzo Galasso


Vincenzo Galasso was born in 1967 in Naples. He graduated in Economics at the Bocconi University (Milan) in 1991. He earned a Ph.D. in Economics at the University of California - Los Angeles (UCLA) discussing the thesis: "The Political Economy of Intergenerational Transfer Payments".

Since 2002 he is Associate Professor of Economics at the University L. Bocconi (Milan) and Research Fellow at IGIER ("Innocenzo Gasparini" Institute for Economic Research, University L. Bocconi (Milan).
He is currently research affiliate at the Centre for Economics Policy Research (CEPR), London. He was also external consultant for the OECD, Economics Department, Paris, 2005-2006.

He was research project evaluator for the European Commission in 2005, Visiting Fellow at the European Commission in 2002, Assistant Professor of Economics at the Universidad Carlos III of Madrid from 1996 to 2000, AND Teaching Assistant and Lecturer at the University of California, Los Angeles, from 1992 to 1995.

His research deals with Political Economy, Macroeconomics, Public Economy, Social Security Systems.
