Short bio

I received a Master Degree (cum laude) in Computer Science from the University of Catania and a PhD in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Naples `Federico II'.

In 1997, I visited for a semester the University of California at Berkeley for preparing my Master thesis. During my phD I have been invited as visiting student at the University of Aarhus, at the French National Institute for Research in Computer Science and Control (INRIA) Sophia-Antipolis and at the University of Florence.

Before joining IMT as an assistant professor in May 2006, I was a post-doctoral researcher at the Department of Computer Science of University of Pisa, funded by the EU Integrated Project PROFUNDIS.

Research

I am a member of the IMT SysMA research unit of the Computer Science and Research area.

My research interests include:
