Research Interests:

Computational methods for processing and analysis of biomedical signals. Development of automated tools for the detection of EEG events in sleep (REM and NREM sleep) and rested wakefulness. Analysis and characterization of task-dependent changes in EEG brain activity (evoked potentials).Models for the characterization of experience-dependent changes in brain activity during both wakefulness and sleep; characterization of the effects of sensory experience on sleep EEG activity. Mathematical models of physiological and epidemiological systems, optimization algorithms.
