International Scouting for Tenure-Track Positions 2016 - Second edition - Closed on July 13th, 2016

The deadline for expressions of interest is July 13th, 2016 at 11:59 pm.

The purpose of the scouting procedure is to collect expressions of interest in sectors deemed strategic for the development of the School’s research areas. Please note that expressions of interest from exceptional candidates of all ranks in areas beyond those listed below, yet still aligned with the mission of the IMT School, are also welcome.

The IMT School is collecting expression of interest in the following areas:

  • Economics, management e data science
    Applications are encouraged from candidates with experience in economics, statistics and management science, with distinctive capabilities in analyzing complex problems in economics and management. Distinctive competences of interest are in economics, political economy, econometrics, management science and analytics, applied mathematics, statistics, network theory. Specific fields of study are economics and finance; international economics; economic networks; systemic risk analysis; political economy; industrial organization, entrepreneurship and technology; marketing science; systems modelling and optimization; stochastic systems.

  • Computer Science and Systems Engineering
    Candidates with experience in (i) concurrency theory, programming languages, and software engineering, for the development of languages and techniques for the analysis and verification of modern concurrent and distributed systems, and their applications to adaptive systems, cyber-physical systems, cloud computing, computational biology, fault-tolerant systems, security, and transportation networks; (ii) System identification, control of dynamical systems, optimization, machine learning, numerical analysis; (iii) development of innovative computational methods to study advanced problems of solid mechanics, fluid mechanics, and cutting-edge problems involving multiple fields and length scales of high interest in both the academic and industrial sectors.

  • Neurosciences
    Candidates with a strong background in cognitive, computational and social neurosciences are invited to apply. Main areas of interest focus on cognitive psychology, behavioral, social and forensic neuroscience, A multi-disciplinary laboratory integrates advanced structural and functional neuroimaging and molecular biology and genetics methodologies with experimental and clinical psychology paradigms.
    The ideal candidate possesses experience in one or more of the following research topics: multisensory perception, supramodal conceptual representation; neuroplasticity and learning; semantic processing and neurolinguistics; social and antisocial behavior; decision-making processes in economics and financial environments.

  • Cultural Heritage
    Candidates with experience in history of ancient art and archaeology and art history; analysis, management, legislation of cultural heritage and cultural practices; aesthetics; disciplines related to the perception and uses of images and spaces.
