Andreea Andrei

I am a PhD candidate in Management and Development of Cultural Heritage. I completed my Master's degree in history and social anthropology at Babes-Bolyai University in 2012. My dissertation examined control over reproduction and women's conditions in communist Romania (1966-89), focusing on the connection between political agendas and the degradation of cultural notions of femininity and procreation. My current research explores alterity and power structures in early modern paintings of Transylvanian wooden churches (eighteenth-nineteenth centuries).
