  • Professor Fabio Pammolli appointed associate editor of IEEE Transactions on Network Science and Engineering
    Prof. Pammolli has also been appointed as an associate editor of IEEE Transactions on Network Science and Engineering, a new multidisciplinary journal that focuses on the theory and applications of network science, aiming at discovering common principles that govern network structures, network functionalities, and the behavior of networks. The types of networks covered include physical or engineered networks, information networks, biological networks, semantic networks, economic networks, social networks, and ecological networks.

  • Paper co-authored by S.A. Tsaftaris et al. received the Magna Cum Laude Award
    The paper co-authored by R. Morisi, R. Dharmakumar, S.A. Tsaftaris received the Magna Cum Laude Award of the International Society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM) for the work presented at the last ISMRM Meeting (Milano, May 2014).

  • EUROMECH Colloquium 575 @IMT Lucca
    The EUROpean MECHanics Society has accepted the Colloquium proposal by Prof. Marco Paggi. The Colloquium number 575 "Contact mechanics and coupled problems in surface phenomena" will be held in Lucca, next Spring, cochaired by Prof. Paggi and Prof. David Hills (Oxford, UK). A big opportunity for scientists and engineers from all parts of Europe to meet each other and to discuss their current research.

  • Paper by Laura Magazzini, Fabio Pammolli and Massimo Riccaboni among the Thomson Reuters' Highly Cited
    The paper on "The productivity crisis of pharmaceutical R&D" co-authored by Laura Magazzini, Fabio Pammolli and Massimo Riccaboni in "Nature Reviews Drug Discovery" (n. 10, June 2011) has been listed among the ISI-Thomson Reuters' Highly Cited Papers. Highly Cited Papers are defined as those that rank in the top 1% by citations for field and year of publication. These data derive from Essential Science Indicators℠ (ESI). Those researchers who, within an ESI-defined field, published Highly Cited Papers are judged to be influential by Thomson Reuters.

  • Prof. Bemporad has gained the first IMT European funded project under the H2020 programme
    The project “DISIRE - Integrated Process Control based on Distributed In-Situ Sensors into Raw Material and Energy Feedstock”, submitted by the Luleå University of Technology (Sweden) is under Grant Agreement signature. The DISIRE project is a Research and Innovation Action under the call SPIRE 1-2014 - Sustainable Process Industries made by a consortium of 15 partners and awarded a grant of 6.000.000 euro for 3 years. IMT awarded a grant 450k euro for 3 years.
