The IMT Executive Council has deliberated a Direct Call for an Associate Professor in Fisica della Materia (SSD FIS/03).
The Direct Call of Prof. Guido Caldarelli, has been approved by the Ministry of Universities and CUN (National University Board).
Prof. Caldarelli's appointment started on February 1st, 2013.

On December 31st 2012 the 2nd Edition of International Scouting 2012 for Tenured Positions in the fields of management science and quantitative finance, risk analysis, numerical analysis, artificial intelligence, machine learning, data mining of natural, technical and socio economic systems closed (see here for the full profile).

The successful candidate will operate in the field of Management Science with proven ability to analyze large data structures
in the areas of economics and innovation management, the analysis of collaborative networks

Prof Bemporad operates in the filed of Embedded Systems (autonomous and intelligent control of complex physical systems),
his appointment started on July 1, 2011.

the decision to open a transfer call for a Tenured Assistant Professor (ricercatore confermato) in the specific scientific
area of Probability Theory and Mathematical Statistics (SSD MAT/06 MATEMATICA). Dott.ssa. Irene Crimaldi has been selected.

Profile
The candidate must have already produced a research portfolio including publications in international peer-reviewed journals treating themes
related to probability theory and stochastic processes. In addition, the candidate should have interests in the application of stochastic theory,
in particular in those based on the convergence of conditional expected values. The candidate should also have familiarity with asymptotical
aspects in urn models, also in the context of management science and economic and financial analysis. The successful candidate will work within
the Economics and Institutional Change research area.

Details of the evaluation procedure
The successful participant must currently hold an appointment as Full Professor within the Italian university
system and be scientifically recognized by the international academic community. Participants should be active
in the fields of analysis and management of complex systems in a technological or engineering discipline, in
accordance with the strategic planning goals of the Institute. The participant must also have an excellent
understanding of research systems and in Italy and abroad.
In their expressions of interest, participants must include a cover letter, indicating within the name of 3 referees,
a detailed CV and a statement of up to 30,000 characters (spaces included) highlighting the most fundamental
characteristics of their appointment as Director, in concert with the IMT mission statement and development
plan regarding research, teaching, local relationships and administrative management.
