Recruitment Program Principles and Standards

IMT Assistant Professors and Post-doctoral Fellows are resident researchers pursuing advanced studies.
IMT is a dynamic center for young researchers. They work closely with other young researchers, graduate students and senior researchers.
Junior Faculty is regarded as IMT's most important investment. All junior faculty members are required to perform a limited load of teaching activities within the Ph.D. programs and supervision/mentoring of Ph.D. students, as well as to contribute to the development of the Research Areas of the Institute.
The remuneration package is competitive at an international level and includes generous research funds. IMT's procedures are in compliance with the European Commission recommendations proposed in the European Charter for Researchers and in the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers . In particular, IMT ensures that researchers will not be discriminated against on the basis of gender, age, ethnic, national or social origin, religion or belief, sexual orientation, language, disability, political opinion, or social and/or economic conditions. Broad dissemination of information about the openings guarantees that any candidate in any part of the world can compete for the position offered.

Candidates may apply by simply filling out an online application form.

Selection procedure conditions are transparent and are based on international standards. IMT is committed to providing adequate resources to support the research activity of its faculty, as well as full flexibility in working conditions.

Furthermore, IMT recognizes "the value of geographical, intersectional, inter− and trans−disciplinary and virtual mobility as an important means of enhancing scientific knowledge and professional development at any stage of a researcher's career" (European Charter for Researchers, Ref. Value of mobility).
Therefore, it acknowledges any past mobility experience, encourages mobility at all levels and supports research and projects on interdisciplinary topics and collaborations at an international level.

IMT has also signed the " Commitment of Quality Assurance " (PDF, 25 KB) for the EURAXESS Researcher's mobility portal .
