Profile

Research Collaborator in the project “Spinta gentile, vaccinazione anti-COVID-19 e salute pubblica” (SpinGeVacS: Nudges, COVID-19 vaccination and public health) funded by Regione Toscana. The project aims at collecting data about people’s beliefs, motivations, preferences, and behaviors in healthcare contexts. The goal is developing behaviorally-inspired tools to promote prosocial behavior (e.g., improving vaccination compliance among both the general population and healthcare professionals) and to implement transparent and trustworthy communication, decision-making and policy design (e.g., games for social change). 
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in computer programming and software development, and possibly experience in programming with script languages (e.g., Python or Javascript),  event-driven programming, or object-oriented programming. Interest or experience in game design and game development will be positively evaluated. The candidate should be able to build the frontend and backend of an online game that aims to promote prosocial behavior and the understanding of scientific information in healthcare contexts.

Activity

The Research Collaborator will join the SpinGeVacS project team and collaborate with the GAME Science Research Center, also hosted at the IMT School. The main activities will be the development of an online platform for data collection and of an online game for improving prosocial behavior and the understanding of scientific information in healthcare contexts.

Formal requirements
  • Master's degree or equivalent;
  • Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.
